Now entering the twilight of an
illustrious career, this evergreen performer has
shown that he retains much of his ability with the ball in hand. The
jury is
still out on whether he can still cut the mustard with his batting,
after a lean
season last year, and a miserable start to 2002,
Capable of guiling out
batsmen with his clever slower ball, he still irritatingly
manages to bowl his fair share of no balls off a 4 pace run up.
Looks like he will have to bow to the
greater run making and quicker bowling of his
erstwhile offspring in the not too distant future.
A former resident of 'the cordon',
his concrete feet have seen him moved to less
prominent fielding positions recently.
Despite smoking other people tabs,
still a good bloke to have on your side
