In a team full of oddball characters, none
looms larger than Jeff Longton, a sort
of mad experiment that produced a cross between Odd-job and Arthur
Daley.
A bigger heart you will not find on a fast
bowler, (a bigger whinger you will not
meet either!!).
Rightfully selected to represent the league
for his outstanding efforts last season,
after a great start with the ball, he has been sidelined by his
annual injury, only
this time its serious.
Feared and respected in equal measure by his
opponents, there are few cleaner strikers
of a cricket ball, however his strike rate of 1 in 10 hits needs
refining somewhat.
A man of differing tastes, from hunting with
Hawks to wearing gentle pastel coloured
sweatshirts, this man has been truly stamped as MADE IN MORECAMBE
